Gas Absorption & Splitting Process Trainer Model TH 098
Sci-tech Gas Absorption & Splitting Process Trainer Model TH 098 An Automated Absorption and Stripping Pilot Plant allows in- depth study of the operation of a modern absorption and stripping plant. The equipment has been designed for students to gain theoretical and practical knowledge of the varying operating parameters within the Absorption and Stripping process.
Item Description
Model TH 098 has been designed and manufactured to incorporate all current safety standards. It has been designed to study the mass transfer from a gaseous phase to a liquid phase (absorption) and liquid phase to a gaseous phase (stripping).
The absorbing liquid is fed by a metering pump to the top of a column with glass Raschig rings packing.
The gaseous phase is the result of the mixture between the gas to be absorbed and a carrier gas. The flow rates of these two gases are measured by mass flowmeters.
Model TH 098 includes a PID controller that controls the flow rates of gases automatically using two pneumatic valves.
Options for configuration detailed under the Recommended Accessories.
