Experiment Capabilities:
PH control
– PH control on PID controller by using modulating type and ON / OFF type function
– Learning the effect and setting of P, I & D parameter in process control. Student can adjust the proportional (P), integer (I) & durative time constant (D) to monitor the process efficiency
– To demonstrate the different of PID & Fuzzy logic control
– To demonstrate the advantage of PID control over the manual ON/OFF control
– The PH process able to control both in alkaline and acid zone. PH 1 to 14

ORP studies
– Monitor the effect on oxygen reduction potential (ORP) during the PH process reaction
– Study and compare the influence of PH against the ORP in the solution

Conductivity control
– Study of water treatment with ion exchanger introduce, create near pure water. By monitor the change of conductivity

Dissolved oxygen studies
– To learn and measure the dissolve oxygen (DO2) in solution

– Apply of compressed air bubble in solution to change the DO2 reading

The trainer is made of steel frame structure with epoxy coated paint; it is self contained designed which all the component are on one skid. There are three tank, 1st tank is PH mixing tank, both the alkaline and acid solution transfer in the tank, a motorize stirrer installed to speed up the homogeneous mixing process. The metering of alkaline and acid solution is precisely control by chemical dosing pump. PH sensor is continuing monitor the required PH by controlling the rate of dosing pump transfer. Where the PID control function is applied. 2nd tank is buffer tank, which the after mixed solution is transferred. Again the PH sensor is monitoring the PH reading, ORP sensor monitor the effect of PH on the change of solution ORP. And conductivity change relative the PH, Compressed air bubble with rate control and monitor by air flow meter is applied to 2nd tank, studies the change of conductivity VS pH. 3rd tank is dumping tank, the PH reading the measure again before the solution is drain out, if the PH reading is out of the range of DOE requirement, the PH neutralized process is implement, before the solution is discharged.
