Aerodynamic Trainer Model AT 010

Sci-tech Aerodynamics Trainer Model AT 010 offers – along with its accessories – typical experiments from the field of flow around, incident flow and flow through models, as well as further experiments in the field of steady incompressible flow. The trainer includes a radial fan, which can be used to generate flow velocities up to 40m/s. The speed is infinitely adjustable by using a frequency converter. A stabilization tank with flow straightener ensures a consistent, low-turbulence and reproducible flow in the measuring section. A carefully shaped nozzle provides a largely homogeneous velocity distribution of the air flow. The accessory is attached using quick release fasteners and can be interchanged quickly and easily. Measuring points along the measuring section allow pressure and velocity measurements to be taken. The tube manometers are used to show the pressures clearly.

Size: 60cm x 55cm x 125cm (LxWxH)
Weight: 85 kg

Item Description

Features

* Flow velocities up to 40m/s possible1
* Homogeneous flow through the flow straightener and special nozzle contour1
* Matching accessories offer a wide range of experiments

* Optional ‘Sci-Cal’ Computer Control Software & Interface

Aerodynamics describes the behavior of bodies during flow around or through bodies with a compressible fluid. The purpose of experiments in aerodynamics is familiarization with and optimization of drag and the flow field around a body. This knowledge has a significant influence on the development of means of transport (vehicles, ships, aircraft) and in architecture (skyscrapers, towers and bridges).

The well-structured instructional material sets out the fundamentals and provides a step-by-step guide through the experiments.

‘Sci-Cal’ Computer Control Software & Interface

‘Sci-Cal’ software & hardware has been designed for use with more than 600 ‘Sci-tech’ trainers. ‘Sci-Cal’ comes in a module that can be fitted or mounted on the Sci-tech trainers very easily.

‘Sci-Cal’ box has 11 inches front HMI interactive panel, inside are i3 processor computer with it’s own hard drive & software processor with 16 to 32 analog and 16 to 32 digital signal data-loggers. The ‘LabVIEW’ processes the input signal with in-built data and formulae to tabulate results for the Sci-tech trainers.

‘Sci-Cal’ box has HDMI output for connection to a projector or an electronic whiteboard or a monitor.

‘Sci-Cal’ box has input ports for inputs from the Sci-tech trainer sensors.

‘Sci-Cal’ eliminates requirement of external computer.
